ABSTRACT
The
economic performance of various sector in Pasuruan District is very well.
Meanwhile, western part of this region is centrally located for industry,
trading and services activities. But the eastern part have not seen developed
yet. This study proposed
to use location quotient approach and four quadrants analysis (spatial
analysis) to identify competitive sector that might be developed in the area of
study. Concept of city marketing is utilized to develop the regional
development. Due to limitation of study carried by Meiriya (2007) for city
marketing subject to formulate of regional strategy, this study extended to
allow us the priority of the strategy development obtained. In order to take
into occurred of conflicting maner for implementation of the strategy, this
research utilized an integrated model of MCDM namely DEMATEL and Fuzzy-ANP. By
doing so, conflicting decision could be solved by priorities of weight that are
gives to each criteria evaluation for the alternatives. Based on the
implementation of proposed model, this study concluded that agriculture,
manufacturing and services sectors are the best decision strategy to be
developed in this area. In terms of criteria that took into account, it is
found that financial is the most important criteria to regional development
with focusing to agriculture sector.
